This commitment recently took an exciting turn with a unique fundraising effort for Leave No Trace Brighton, a non-profit organsation dedicated to keeping our beaches clean.
A Shave for Sustainability
Last summer, Oliver took a bold step for the environment – he shaved off all his hair! This dramatic gesture wasn’t just a style choice; it was a successful fundraiser that collected over £1,000 for Leave No Trace Brighton. As a hairdresser, Oliver knew the power of a transformative cut, and he used this to draw attention to an important cause.
From Haircut to Beach Clean-Up
The funds raised by Oliver’s head-shaving event have been put to excellent use. In collaboration with local graffiti artist The Postman, Leave No Trace Brighton has created stunning artwork for their summer campaign posters. These eye-catching designs, featuring marine life such as a dolphin, crab, seal, and seagull, now adorn the black deck chair boxes along Brighton’s beach between the Old West and Palace Piers.
Oliver had the pleasure of helping to install these new posters, which involved early morning sessions of removing old posters, cleaning the boxes, and applying the new designs. The Hair Salon is now a proud owner of an original dolphin print from this campaign, displayed in the salon for all to admire.
